Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell (shoulder) has been scratched from Tuesday night's game versus the Detroit Tigers.
Russell is dealing with right shoulder inflammation and will not start, as planned, on Tuesday. His replacement was not immediately made known.
Russell is batting .259 with 5 homers and a .305 wOBA in 424 plate appearances this season.
