Rafael Devers (hamstring) heads back to Red Sox DL
The Boston Red Sox placed third baseman Rafael Devers on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to August 16, with a left hamstring strain.
Devers returned just last week from the same injury but reaggravated the ailment on Thursday. The third baseman could be out longer this time as the Red Sox play it cautious with Devers. Eduardo Nunez is starting at third base on Friday and is expected to do so while Devers is out.
Devers has batted .242 with 16 homers and .308 wOBA over 423 plate appearances this season.
