Marlins' Jose Urena suspended 6 games for intentionally hitting Ronald Acuña Wednesday
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Jose Urena has been suspended 6 games by Major League Baseball for intentionally hitting Ronald Acuña during Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Braves.
Urena was also fined an undisclosed amount. He was ejected from Wednesday's game for what appeared to be a pretty obvious intentional plunking of Acuña. The suspension is scheduled to begin Friday but the right-hander may choose to appeal.
Urena is averaging 22.7 FanDuel points and is 3-12 in 24 starts this season, while posting a 4.74 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 104 strikeouts across 129 innings.
