Nomar Mazara (thumb) active, starting for Rangers on Thursday
Texas Rangers right fielder Nomar Mazara (thumb) is active from the 10-day disabled list and starting on Thursday versus the Los Angeles Angels.
Mazara will take back over in right field and bat out of the cleanup spot versus Angels right-hander Taylor Cole after missing a month with a sprained right thumb. He put together a .272/.332/.450 slash with 15 dingers and 58 RBI across 388 plate appearances (91 games) before going down. Shin-Soo Choo will play designated hitter and Robinson Chirinos will replace Isiah Kiner-Falefa at catcher and bat seventh while Jurickson Profar moves down a spot into the five-hole.
numberFire's models project Mazarai to score 11.4 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,500 on Thursday.
