JaCoby Jones lands on Tigers disabled list with hamstring strain
Detroit Tigers outfielder JaCoby Jones is on the 10-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain.
Jones was forced to leave Sunday's game after injuring his hamstring while hustling out an infield single in his lone plate appearance. It's not clear if he will be available when first eligible to return. Mikie Mahtook was recalled from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding roster move. He will start in left field on Monday night against the Chicago White Sox while Victor Reyes plays center.
Jones is averaging 7.2 FanDuel points in 104 games this season, while batting .204 with 8 home runs, 26 RBI, 40 runs scored, and 9 steals across 373 plate appearances.
