Yangervis Solarte (oblique) placed on Blue Jays' 10-day DL
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Yangervis Solarte (oblique) was placed on the 10-day DL on Sunday.
What It Means:
Solarte hurt his oblique in Saturday's game and will now be sidelined for at least two weeks. Russell Martin will see more action at third base with Solarte out. Catching prospect Danny Jansen was called up from Triple-a in a corresponding move.
Solarte was batting .233 with a .295 wOBA and 17 homers in 471 plate appearances this season.
