Washington Nationals infielder Anthony Rendon is not in the lineup on Saturday against the Chicago Cubs.
Rendon was originally slated to play third base and bat third in the order against Jon Lester, but he will be held out after getting x-rays. Mark Reynolds will take his place in the lineup.
In 400 plate appearances so far this season, Rendon has a .289 batting average with 16 home runs and 58 RBI.
