Kansas City's Alcides Escobar not among Wednesday starters
Kansas City Royals infielder Alcides Escobar is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday.
Escobar is out of the lineup for the day, and Lucas Duda will get a chance to start at first base. To accommodate him, the Royals will shift Hunter Dozier to third base, Salvador Perez to DH, and Drew Butera will catch.
Our models project Escobar to bat .240 with 1 home run, 17 runs, 14 RBI, and 2 stolen bases in 167 more plate appearances this year.
