Jose Martinez (ankle) returns to Cardinals' lineup on Wednesday
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Jose Martinez (ankle) is starting on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies.
Martinez was held out of the lineup in the past three games while nursing an ankle injury. He also was reportedly shopped around at the trade deadline. The 30-year-old will return to first base and bat fifth versus Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland while Matt Carpenter returns to third base. Jedd Gyroko will be available off the Cardinals' bench.
numberFire's models project Martinez to score 9.8 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,700 on Wednesday.
