Rays reportedly receive Tommy Pham from Cardinals for 3-player package
The Tampa Bay Rays reportedly acquired outfielder Tommy Pham from the St. Louis Cardinals, reports Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports the Rays will send outfielder Justin Williams and a pair of pitching prospects, left-hander Genesis Cabrera and right-hander Roel Ramirez to St. Louis. Pham has regressed a bit after a sensational 2017 campaign but remains under team control for three years, which is a major appeal for the Rays. Harrison Bader figures to see more work for the Cardinals moving forward.
Pham slashed .248/.331/.399 with 14 home runs, 41 RBI, 10 steals, and 67 runs scored across 396 plate appearances for the Cardinals this season.
