Joe Panik (groin) activated off the 10-day DL by the Giants

San Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik (groin) has been activated off the 10-day DL on Monday.

What It Means:

Panik has been out since early July with a groin strain but has been cleared to return to big league action. He is not in the lineup on Monday as Chase d'Arnaud is starting at second base versus the San Diego Padres. Pablo Sandoval was placed on the DL in a corresponding move.

Panik has averaged 7.5 FanDuel points per game this season while slashing .240/.309/.345 in 224 plate appearances.
