Corey Dickerson (hamstring) placed on Pirates' DL

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Corey Dickerson (hamstring) has been placed on the 10-day DL, retroactive to July 25.

What It Means:

Dickerson strained his hamstring on Wednesday and has not played since. Since the team waited for the DL move, it appears the injury is not too severe but will cost the outfielder at least another week. Austin Meadows was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Dickerson was batting .318 with a .369 wOBA and 11 homers over 367 plate appearances this season.
