Milwaukee Brewers pitched Freddy Peralta has been recalled from Low-A Wisconsin and is starting on Wednesday afternoon versus the Washington Nationals.
Peralta was optioned to Wisconsin before the break merely as a roster move to open up another spot between his starts. The 22-year-old right-hander went 4-1 and spun a 2.65 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 50 strikeouts and 18 walks across his first 37 1/3 major league innings. The Brewers optioned Brett Phillips to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding roster move.
