Yankees' deal for Baltimore's Zach Britton 'close to done'
The New York Yankees are 'close to done' a deal to acquire Baltimore Orioles pitcher Zach Britton, per Jon Heyman of Fancred.
The Yankees were reported as the "clear front-runners" for Britton earlier tonight, and now word is out that a potential deal will include "mutiple prospects" in exchange for the 30-year-old southpaw.
Britton has a 3.45 ERA, 4.37 skill-interactive ERA, 20.6% strikeout rate, 15.9% walk rate and 1.34 WHIP over 16 outings in 2018.
