Gary Sanchez (groin) to go back on Yankees' disabled list
New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez will be placed on the 10-day disabled list with a groin injury.
The injury was confirmed by an MRI on Tuesday. Sanchez reportedly didn't disclose the injury to the Yankees and tried playing through it to avoid going back on the shelf. The 25-year-old backstop just returned from the DL after suffering a groin injury at the end of the June. Austin Romine figures to take over as the primary center moving forward.
Sanchez has averaged 10.2 FanDuel points in 66 games for the Yankees this season, while slashing a poor .188/.283/.416 with 14 home runs, 42 RBI, and 37 runs scored across 279 plate appearances.
