Tampa's Chris Archer drawing 'significant' interest from other teams
The Tampa Bay Rays have drawn "significant interest" in starting pitcher Chris Archer, per Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
Archer spent some time on the DL with an abdominal strain this season, but he has made two starts since returning, and has two more scheduled before the trade deadline. Archer's contract keeps him under team control for three more seasons.
Archer has a 4.29 ERA through 15 games in 2018, but that comes with a solid 3.91 skill-interactive ERA. He also has a 24.0% strikeout rate, 8.1% walk rate and 1.38 WHIP.
