J.D. Martinez out of Red Sox's lineup on Saturday

Boston Red Sox designated hitter/outfielder J.D. Martinez is out of Saturday's lineup against the Detroit Tigers.

What It Means:

Martinez may have tweaked something while making a spectacular catch in the third inning of Friday's 1-0 victory over the Tigers. Steve Pearce will handle DH duties again for Boston and Mookie Betts will replace Martinez in right field.

Martinez is averaging 14.3 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .308 with 18 homers and 46 RBI over the rest of the year.
