Giants' Ryder Jones making season debut on Friday
San Francisco Giants third baseman Ryder Jones is starting on Friday against the Oakland Athletics.
Brandon Belt was placed on the paternity leave list Friday and the Giants called up Jones from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding roster move. He will replace Chase d'Arnaud at third base and bat seventh versus Athletics right-hander Edwin Jackson in his season debut.
Jones was batting .299/.348/.447 with 9 home runs and 48 RBI in 81 games at the Triple-A level this season. numberFire's models project him to score 7.2 FanDuel points on Friday.
