Pirates option Austin Meadows to Triple-A
The Pittsburgh Pirates have optioned outfielder Austin Meadows to Triple-A Indianapolis.
What It Means:
Meadows hasn't started any of the Pirates' last seven games, and so they move him back down to the Minors, where he will return to being an everyday starter.
Meadows has opened his first Major League season slashing .298/.333/.477 with a .341 wOBA over 162 plate appearances.
