Brewers place Eric Thames (hamstring) on 10-day DL
The Milwaukee Brewers have placed first baseman/outfielder Eric Thames on the 10-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain.
Thames suffered the injury on Friday night versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. The strain is considered minor but with the All-Satr break just two days away, the slugger will get some extra time to heal up. Nate Orf was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Thames has batted .250/.344/.556 with 13 homers and 28 RBI in 183 plate appearances this season.
