Francisco Cervelli sitting out Game 1 of Pirates' two-game set
Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli will not start in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Milwaukee Brewers.
It was very unlikely that Cervelli would start so early today, having caught last night's series opener. Elias Diaz is getting the nod this afternoon, but we could expect Cervelli to be back in there this evening.
Batting .243 with 9 homers, Cervelli is projected for 6 home runs and a .248 average the rest of the season. If he's in the lineup tonight, he'll run $2,700 on the later slate.
