Oakland Athletics pitcher Trevor Cahill (Achilles) is active from the 10-day disabled list and starting on Thursday against the Colorado Rockies.
What It Means:
Cahill missed nearly six weeks due to a strained right Achilles tendon. The 30-year-old right-hander spun a 2.77 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with 47 strikeouts and 11 walks in eight starts before landing on the DL. Oakland optioned Chris Bassitt to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding roster move.
