Ian Kennedy (oblique) lands on Royals' disabled list
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Ian Kennedy has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left oblique strain.
In his first start back after serving the minimum 10 days on the DL with a left oblique strain, Kennedy experienced more tightness on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Twins and was pulled after three innings. The Royals recalled right-hander Jason Adam from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding roster move.
Kennedy owns an ugly 1-8 record (18 starts) and is averaging 23.0 FanDuel points per outing while recording a 5.13 ERA with 87 strikeouts and 34 walks across 94 2/3 innings.
