Noah Syndergaard N. Syndergaard

Noah Syndergaard (finger) expected to start for Mets on Friday

New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard (finger) is scheduled to return to the rotation on Friday for a start against the Washington Nationals.

What It Means:

If all goes well during a Wednesday bullpen session, Syndergaard will get the green light. The 25-year-old right-hander has been out since late May because of a strained ligament in his right index finger. Prior to going down, Syndergaard put together a 4-1 record in 11 starts while recording a 3.06 ERA with 76 strikeouts and 13 walks across 64 2/3 innings.

Syndergaard was averaging 37.1 FanDuel points per start. numberFire's models expect him to record a 4.17 ERA with 61 strikeouts and 14 walks over the rest of the year once active.
