Cubs' Kyle Hendricks fans 8 in no-decision

Chicago Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks yielded just an unearned run on 5 hits in 8 1/3 innings with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a no-decision against the San Francisco Giants on Monday.

What It Means:

An Anthony Rizzo error in the fifth inning allowed Alen Hanson to tie the game 1-1 and deprived Hendricks of an opportunity for a complete game victory. It was still an excellent showing from the 28-year-old right-hander, who is 5-8 through 18 starts while recording a 3.93 ERA with 80 strikeouts and 31 walks through 105 1/3 innings.

Hendricks scored a season-high 52.9 FanDuel points on Monday. numberFire's models project him to record a 4.11 ERA with 67 strikeouts and 25 walks over the rest of the year.
