Cubs' Yu Darvish (triceps, elbow) resumes throwing
Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish (triceps, elbow) played catch on Monday.
This is the first time Darvish has thrown since he was diagnosed with a right elbow impingement at the end of June, which came after he was already placed on the disabled list in late May with triceps tendinitis. The Cubs are taking a conservative approach with the 31-year-old right-hander but things appear to be moving in the right direction.
Darvish averaged 27.4 FanDuel points per start before landing on the DL while posting a 4.95 ERA with 49 strikeouts and 21 walks across 40 innings.
