Matt Wieters (hamstring) activated from the DL, starting for Nationals on Monday
Washington Nationals catcher Matt Wieters (hamstring) is starting on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Wieters missed around two months with a hamstring injury and will immediately enter the Nationals lineup tonight. He's starting at catcher and batting eighth against Pirates right-hander Ivan Nova. Pedro Severino was optioned to Triple-A, leaving Spencer Kieboom as the backup moving forward.
