Yankees interested in Orioles' Zach Britton

The New York Yankees are among the teams interested in Baltimore Orioles reliever Zach Britton, according to Jon Heyman of Fancred.

What It Means:

Heyman lists the Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland, and "maybe [Los Angeles] Dodgers" as teams that would also "make sense," and the Boston Red Sox have been reported as having interest as well. Britton will likely be dealt before the deadline; the only question is where. On a related note, New York also has interest in San Diego Padres reliever Brad Hand, Heyman reports.

Our models project Britton for a 4.36 ERA, with 23.6 percent strikeout and 9.7 percent walk rates, and 7 saves in 16 1/3 more innings pitched.
