Max Fried (blister) lands on Braves' disabled list
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left middle finger blister.
What It Means:
Fried lasted only three innings of Thursday's start against the Milwaukee Brewers before the blister forced an early exit. The 24-year-old left-hander has a history of blister problems and it's not clear if he will be able to return when first eligible. The Braves recalled right-hander Evan Phillips from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding roster move.
Fried is averaging 17.2 FanDuel points in three starts (seven appearances) this season. He owns a 3.92 ERA and 1.45 WHIP with 25 strikeouts and 13 walks across 20 2/3 innings.
