Johnny Cueto (elbow) to throw up to 85 pitches in return to Giants' rotation Thursday
San Francisco Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto (elbow) will throw up to 85 pitches against the St. Louis Cardinals in his return to the rotation on Thursday.
Cueto has been out of the rotation since May 1 due to a sprained right elbow but he's ready to go after allowing 0 runs on 5 hits with 10 strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings during two minor league rehab starts at Triple-A Sacramento. The veteran right-hander put together a superb 0.84 ERA and 0.69 WHIP across his first five starts and 32 innings for the Giants before landing on the disabled list.
numberFire's models project Cueto to score 30.7 FanDuel points at a cost of $8,300 on Thursday.
