Cardinals' Michael Wacha dealing with 'moderate' oblique strain
St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael Wacha's left oblique showed a "moderate" strain, an MRI revealed.
That's obviously better than a more severe strain but Wacha is still expected to miss multiple weeks. The 26-year-old right-hander was placed on the disabled list Thursday after suffering the injury in the fourth inning of Wednesday's start against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Wacha is averaging 30.2 FanDuel points in 15 starts this season while going 8-2 with a 3.20 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 84 1/3 innings. He's also picked up 71 strikeouts and 36 walks.
