Brandon Crawford (paternity) active, starting for Giants on Thursday

San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford is active from the paternity leave list and starting versus the San Diego Padres on Thursday night.

What It Means:

Crawford missed the past three games while his wife gave birth to the couple's fourth child. He will work out of the five-hole versus Padres right-hander Tyson Ross in Thursday's series opener. Alen Hanson will move out to left field and Hunter Pence will head to the bench. The Giants optioned Kelby Tomlinson to Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding roster move.

numberFire's models project Crawford to score 10.0 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,700 on Thursday.
