Xander Bogaerts moved down to fifth in Red Sox' Thursday lineup
Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts is batting fifth at the Minnesota Twins on Thursday.
Bogaerts has moved down from the three-spot to the five. It's not a huge drop, but there's little to indicate that Boston is demoting him. Bogaerts has a .255/.333/.473 triple-slash through 63 plate appearances against right-handed pitchers in June. It's likely the Red Sox just want to get lefty slugger Mitch Moreland higher in the order against righties.
Our models project Bogaerts for 10.7 FanDuel points at a salary of $4,100 on Thursday.
