Cardinals' Jose Martinez receiving treatment on left shoulder
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Jose Martinez received treatment on his left shoulder after Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Martinez hurt his shoulder and possibly his wrist on a play at first base Wednesday. He said he'll see how he feels on Thursday, and that he has played through the issue before. The Cardinals open a series in Milwaukee on Thursday, and if Martinez is out, Matt Carpenter could have to cover first base, while Jedd Gyorko would likely get the start at third.
If Martinez is able to play Thursday, our models project him for 11.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $4,200.
