Sandy Leon sitting out Wednesday for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox catcher Sandy Leon is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins.
It is Leon's turn to serve as the backup Wednesday, so Christian Vazquez is starting behind the plate. Vazquez will bat out of the eighth spot against right-hander Lance Lynn.
Our models project Leon for a .230 batting average with 3 home runs, 13 runs scored, and 14 RBI over 134 plate appearances remaining this season.
