Mets' Noah Syndergaard (finger) on track for weekend bullpen session
New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (finger) is expected to throw a bullpen session this weekend.
Syndergaard has been playing catch this week without any problems but he's yet to do any work on the mound since suffering a setback with the strained ligament in his right (throwing) index finger on June 7. The 25-year-old ace hasn't pitched for the Mets since May 25.
Syndergaard averaged 37.1 FanDuel points in 11 starts before landing on the disabled list. He owns a 4-1 record on the season while recording a 3.06 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 76 strikeouts and 13 walks across 64 2/3 innings.
