Cubs' Brandon Morrow (back) lands on 10-day disabled list
Chicago Cubs placed pitcher Brandon Morrow on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to June 17, with a lower back injury.
Morrow was unavailable for Tuesday's doubleheader against the Los Angeles Dodgers after the Cubs' closer injured his back while undressing following Sunday night's series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 33-year-old right-hander has 16 saves in 17 chances this season.
Morrow was averaging 5.0 FanDuel points in 26 outings while recording a 1.59 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 25 strikeouts and 9 walks across 22 2/3 innings.
