Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Kansas City Royals.
The Rangers haven't provided a reason but right-handed pitcher Yohander Mendez was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock for a violation of team rules that involved other players on the team, so Odor may have been involved. Either way, this makes two straight absences for the 24-year-old. Jurickson Profar will now start at second base and bat fifth versus Royals right-hander Jason Hammel on Tuesday. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will man third for Texas and bat sixth.
Odor is averaging 6.8 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire’s models project him to bat .230 with 8 home runs, 4 steals, and 29 RBI over the rest of the year.
