Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Ervin Santana (finger) threw a 35-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.
Santana used his full repertoire of pitches and apparently felt good. He'll face live hitters on Friday and could begin another minor league rehab assignment soon after. The veteran right-hander has been out all season following a February surgical procedure on his right middle finger.
Our models project Santana for 82 innings pitched this season, with a 4.84 ERA, 17.9 percent strikeout rate, 8.1 percent walk rate, and a 5-5 record, assuming health.
