Braves' Ronald Acuna (knee) ready to begin rehab assignment
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna (knee) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment "sooner than later," per beat writer David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
O'Brien mentions that Acuna has gone through two days of intense workouts this week, after having been on the disabled list since May 28 because of a mild ACL sprain in his left knee. Prior to the injury, Acuna had a .779 OPS with five home runs and two stolen bases in 129 plate appearances.
Our models project Acuna to hit .253 with 6 home runs, 19 runs, 21 RBI, and 2 stolen bases in 167 more plate appearances this year, assuming health.
