Jay Bruce (sore right hip) headed for Mets' disabled list
New York Mets right fielder Jay Bruce will be placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right hip injury.
Bruce was scratched from Monday's lineup against the Colorado Rockies due to a sore right hip. The Mets recalled reliever Tim Peterson from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding roster move.
Bruce is averaging 6.5 FanDuel points through 62 games this season while slashing .212/.292/.321 with 3 home runs and 17 RBI across 236 plate appearances.
