Nick Pivetta racks up career-high 13 strikeouts in Phillies' win
Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Nick Pivetta struck out 13 batters over 7.1 innings Monday in a no-decision versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Phillies walked off against the Redbirds on Monday, so Pivetta couldn't add a win to his impressive stat line. The right-hander came into Monday after three rough outings in a row, but he had his best stuff against the Cards. His next outing is scheduled for Sunday Night Baseball against the Washington Nationals.
Our models project Pivetta for a 4.41 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 98 strikeouts over 91.9 innings remaining this season.
