Boston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland is starting versus the Seattle Mariners on Thursday.
Moreland sat out Wednesday's series finale against the Baltimore Orioles but he will take back over at first base and bat cleanup versus Mariners right-hander Felix Hernandez in Thursday's opener. Brock Holt will be available off the bench.
