Abraham Almonte moves back to Royals bench on Wednesday
Kansas City Royals outfielder Abraham Almonte is not starting versus the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
Almonte went 0-for-3 and drew a walk in Tuesday's extra-innings loss to the Reds. He will be available off the bench Wednesday while Whit Merrifield, Alex Gordon, and Paulo Orlando make up the infield for the Royals.
