Mookie Betts sitting for Red Sox on Tuesday
Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts is not starting against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
Betts said he felt good after playing 11 innings in his return Monday, so the Red Sox are likely just taking a conservative approach after he missed almost three weeks with an abdominal strain. Eduardo Nunez will lead off for Boston on Tuesday and J.D. Martinez will cover right field.
Betts is averaging 17.8 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .291 with 19 home runs, 12 steals, 60 RBI, and 62 runs scored over the rest of the year.
