D-Backs' Robbie Ray (oblique) on track for rehab start on Thursday

Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Robbie Ray (oblique) is on track to begin a rehab assignment with High-A Visalia on Thursday.

What It Means:

Ray has been out April 29 with an oblique strain. He has been throwing bullpen sessions without any issues and is ready to take the next step in his rehab. If all goes well, Ray will be back in the big leagues by late-June.

Ray owns a 4.58 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and 2-0 record with 45 strikeouts in 27 2/3 innings pitched this season.
