Orioles activate Zach Britton (Achilles) off the 60-day DL
Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Zach Britton (Achilles) has been activated off the 60-day DL on Monday.
Britton has been out since September of 2017 with an Achilles injury, but after successful rehab assignments over the weekend, the former closer is ready to return to the big leagues. Britton will be eased back into high-pressure situations, but it won't be long before he takes the closing job back from Brad Brach.
Our models project Britton for a 4.32 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 36 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings pitched the rest of the season.
