Nationals officially place Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) on DL
The Washington Nationals have officially placed pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the 10-day disabled list.
It's officially being called right shoulder inflammation for Strasburg. He has no structural damage, but the team will opt for rest. He will miss at least a start while Erick Fedde could take his spot in the rotation.
Our models project Strasburg to go 6-4 with a 3.52 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over the rest of the 2018 season.
