Jeff Mathis not in Diamondbacks' Saturday lineup
Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Jeff Mathis will not be in the lineup for Saturday's road game against the Colorado Rockies.
What It Means:
Mathis started at catcher and went 1-for-3 with a triple last night. However, he'll be given a rest in favor of Alex Avila behind the dish this evening.
Hitting just .190, Mathis is projected for 2 home runs, 9 RBI and a .208 average over the remainder of the season.
