Alex Avila starting behind the plate as D'Backs face Rockies on Saturday
Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Alex Avila is starting Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies.
What It Means:
Making his first start since Wednesday, Avila will be up in the Diamondbacks' catching rotation. He replaces Jeff Mathis and hits eighth against the Rockies' Chad Bettis.
